Pre-Order Steiff Bears

A $50 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required for each bear you wish to pre-order. To place an order, add the bear to your cart and proceed through to the checkout.

Your bear is only secured once your deposit checkout has been completed.

Pre-orders are filled in the order they are received as stock arrives throughout the year.

For Limited Edition bears (especially the Isabelle Collection), our allocation is often very small, so we are unable to offer a choice of individual bears.

A limit of one Limited Edition bear per customer, per character applies.

Available pre-orders are added to the Pre-Order section of our website following each official supplier release.

As a benefit of membership, Best Friends Club Members are welcome to contact us for early access information before public release.

Unfortunately, no.

As every Charlie Bear is individually handmade, each one is unique. Slight variations in colour, fabric, accessories and facial expression are part of their charm, so your bear may differ slightly from the supplier catalogue image.

Some pre-orders can take 12 months or longer to arrive.

As arrival dates are determined by the manufacturer, we cannot guarantee delivery timeframes. Please only place a pre-order if you're happy to wait for your bear to arrive.

We also don't recommend pre-orders for birthdays, Christmas or other special occasions where timing is important.

It's also quite common for collectors to see bears arriving in other countries or through other retailers before ours arrive. We have no control over the manufacturer's distribution process, and stockists often receive different allocations at different times.

We'll email you as soon as your bear arrives and your balance is ready to be paid.

If your email address or phone number changes while you're waiting for your pre-order, please let us know as soon as possible.

Your remaining balance, plus postage, is due within 3 days of receiving your arrival notification.

If payment isn't received within this timeframe, your pre-order may be cancelled and your deposit forfeited.

We're unable to accept progress payments throughout the waiting period.

Many customers find it helpful to purchase Lovely Bears Gift Cards during the year and use them towards their final payment when their bear arrives.

Please choose carefully before placing a pre-order.

The $50 deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. If you cancel your pre-order for any reason, your deposit will be forfeited to help cover administration costs, supplier fees and payment processing charges.

Repeated cancellations may affect your eligibility to place future pre-orders.

We don't keep waiting lists.

Instead, we recommend subscribing to our mailing list so you'll be notified when new pre-orders and arrivals become available.

Occasionally, a sold-out pre-order may still become available later if additional stock arrives or an order becomes available, so it's always worth keeping an eye on our website.

Postage is charged when each pre-order is dispatched.

If you have multiple bears arrive at the same time, we're happy to combine postage wherever possible.

Please note that Limited Edition bears incur an additional postage charge of approximately $15 above our standard rates to cover postal insurance, helping protect these valuable collectibles while they're in transit.
