In 1964, Ian Flemings’ novel Goldfinger became the third film in the James Bond franchise. Goldfinger has many iconic 007 highlights, with what many consider to be the greatest James Bond moment: “Goodbye Mr. Bond.” “Do you expect me to talk?” “No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!” Auric Goldfinger, the most sinister of all James Bond villains, has a fascination with gold, which is revealed to Bond during a game of golf. Bond tricks Goldfinger into losing the match, but the scene is inspiration for the design of this Teddy bear, modelling on the outfit worn in the film by German actor, Gert Fröbe. The film logo of Goldfinger is embroidered onto one foot pad, the other displays the musical notes of the melody of the film title, which brings this little villain alive as his heartbeat plays the academy award winning soundtrack.
